As a gamer, I know that sound plays a very important part in games. Sound quality can be a decisive factor in winning or losing a game, in setting a mood, or just in listening to your friends banter and trash talk.  With the CM Storm Sirus 5.1 headphones, you will definitely have the edge over your opponents.

The headphones come in a nice package, and are well protected from any potential damage during shipping or delivery.  They can be used with the USB connection, or via the enclosed 5.1 miniplug connections for use with a sound card.  The earpieces are removable, and you can swap them out for another included set that is vinyl, not cloth, to block out more outside sounds. The vinyl ones do have the downside of trapping heat, so it could get a bit uncomfortable during those marathon gaming sessions.  The remote knob in the center of the picture is used when the device is connected via USB, and can adjust all of the individual speaker volume levels individually.

When looking at the headphones, they look like they will be quite heavy, they are actually surprisingly light.  When using the headphones for the first time via USB, be sure to load the software included in the bundle, and perform a reboot afterwards.  That will let the software component kick in, and really make these headphones start to shine.   The sound quality is very good for a headset in this price range, with bright highs, good mid range, and very deep bass.  The bass could be a bit tighter, and can get a bit overwhelming and drown out everything else if you turn it up too high, so it will take a bit of adjustment to get it dialed in correctly.  These headphones have 4 speakers per side for the surround effect, which works rather well.  You can tell a distinct separation between the speakers while in use, and it does a good job of creating a 5.1 environment.  The headphones are well constructed, and are durable enough to survive in even the most hastily packed LAN bags.

Overall, I would give these headphones a 5 out of 5, for a very solid design, great sound quality, deep bass, and excellent value.  I would recommend them to all gamers who are looking for a great set of headphones at a good price point.
